PUBLIC NOTICE!!!
POSITIVE RABIES CASE IN LAMPASAS COUNTY
Please make sure that your pets are current on their Rabies Vaccinations. These cannot be purchased over the counter and given by owners, only a Veterinarian can give them. Rabies is still very much an issue in our county and surrounding counties. Making sure your pets are current will not only keep them safe, but keep your family safe from exposure as well.
A skunk tested POSITIVE in the 6000 block of FM 1715 this week. Please keep an eye out and report any animals acting strangely to Animal Control. And again DOUBLE CHECK the rabies vaccinations on your pets. Livestock are not required to receive the vaccination but you can speak to your Vet about getting them one to give your herd some added protection.
